LOVE: In A Selfish Manner

One day there was a little girl who was staring at her garden. The garden was full of beautiful flowers and a wide area of green plants. As she was walking, she saw a beautiful pupa colored silver and yellow. She thought that it would be a cute colorful butterfly, so she anticipates for the coming out of the butterfly.

Because she wants to see the last step of metamorphosis, she placed a net that is a bit larger that the pupa so that when it happens she can own the butterfly. Day after day she went to the garden to see if the butterfly came out. Still, a few more days she waited.

Then one day, as she was going to the garden she saw the net was moving. As she went closer, she noticed that it was the butterfly, yet it was bigger than she expected. Suddenly the butterfly stop moving, and it was dead.

After a that, she felt to much pain and regret about the thing she'd done. That if she did not place a net the butterfly can freely fly over the garden and that she can be happy watching the butterfly spread its wings and fly. But because of her selfishness, she felt sad forever.

If you interpret it in the context of LOVE, the scene would be crushing. However, 1 Cor 13 says that LOVE does not think of its own... thank God.
