What Most People Really Are?

Most people live for their own good,
and not for other's good;
Most people don't care of what you are,
'coz they only live of what they are.
Most people sees a one man's wrong deed,
'coz they don't want him to lead;
This is how most people see their neighbors,
'coz they are really self-favors;
Not caring for the others
or even for their own brothers;
Can they still love one another?

Armor Of God

I longed for you, O Lord!

And you made me your son;

You gave me this sword,

so that I can go on.

With this shield,

in You I believe;

And this helm,

Salvation I recieve.

You gave me this belt,

so that I may live in the Truth;

And this breastplate of Righteosness

for my youth.

You shoed me

with the readiness of Your Gospel;

And now you made me a soldier;

And I say it is well!

I put on the whole Armor of God,

so that I may stand;

And when the evil day comes,

I WILL STAND!!

Perceptions In Life

Life is hard because we see the obstacles,

not the goals;

Life is painful because we see the tears,

not the smiles;

People were rejected 'coz we see their faults,

not their righteous deeds;

People are weak coz' we see their failures,

not their achievements;

It is the way we look at things

that makes this world worthwhile to live in,

not primarily on our judgement.

Few Good Men

What this dying world could use is a willing Man of God
Who dares to go against the grain and works without applause;
A man who'll raise the shield of Faith, protecting what is pure;
Whose love is tough and gentle; a man whose word is sure.

God doesn't need an Orator who knows what just to say;
He doesn't need authorities to reason Him away;
He doesn't need an army to guarantee a win;
He just needs a Few Good Men.

Men full of Compassion, who Laugh and Love and Cry-
Men who'll face Eternity and aren't afraid to die-
Men who'll fight for Freedom and Honor once again-
He just needs a Few Good Men.

He calls the broken derelict whose life has been renewed;
He calls the one who has the strength to stand up for the Truth.
Enlistment lines are open and He wants you to come in-
He just needs a Few Good Men.

Men full of Compassion, who Laugh and Love and Cry-
Men who'll face Eternity and aren't afraid to die-
Men who'll fight for Freedom and Honor once again-
He just needs a Few Good Men.

Men full of Compassion, who Laugh and Love and Cry-
Men who'll face Eternity and aren't afraid to die-
Men who'll fight for Freedom and Honor once again-
He just needs a Few Good Men.
Jesus needs a Few Good Men.

26th Christ Baptist Church Anniversary

After 26 years of serving God, the Christ Baptist Church held its 26th year. It was held on December 5, 2008 to December 7, 2008. The theme was "Our Thanksgiving: Our Obedience To The Macedonian Call". On December 5, the members sang beautiful choruses such as "The Highest Praise" and "Stirred But Not Changed", also the bareu brethren also sang Bisaya songs about Missions. A double quartet also performed the song "A Few Good Men" and that night was the Night of Songs.

The next day, a rummage sale was held at the Church. The customers bought things such as clothes, utensils and many others. But praise God, whenever the customer buys an item he/she will be shared about the Gospel and there was about 70 customers who professed.

During the final day, December 7, the anniversary was held. Lots of visitors came and ate. Joshua Jireh Salomon a Weekend Pastor of the Christ Baptist Church was the anniversary speaker. The Church gave its highest praise to the Living true God for everything He had done. Praise God for His love endures forever!

A Gift with Gifts

My aunt gave my older brother a gift this early December, a elegant laptop with authentic MS Office Installer and money from US. WoW!! 3 in 1!
But friends, it is just a physical blessings and this will just pass away. Did you know that God gave us an eternal gift? And that gift is the Lord Jesus Christ. When you receive Jesus it is not only Him that you will have but there's a lot more! Let me give some list of His gifts:

Forgiveness of Sins:

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,

Eph. 1:7

Teachings from the Holy Spirit:
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Jn. 14:26
Eternal Life:
Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

1 Jn. 5:12
Home in Heaven:

In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?

Jn. 14:2

Love:

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

Jn. 15:13

Strategy Over Evil

In Ephesians 6:10-20, Paul tells us to put on the whole Armor of God. This is very important to every christian, because a christian life is a warfare. The Army of God against the Devil. It is also our power to overcome evil. I will share with you three things to do:

Know the Enemy

The intelligence corps of the army plays a vital role during warfare. It is important to know what is your enemy. In this verse our enemy is not a human but the Devil. Before the beginning of the world, Satan already exists. He is the fallen archangel of God which deceived Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

To know our enemy (the Devil), we need to learn what are his plans. The enemy can do anything so that we can sin against God. Lying, murder, idolatry, adultery, sexual immorality, lustfulness and anything that is against the commandments of God.

Arm Yourself

In 6th chapter of Ephesians, it says that we should put on the whole armor of God.

Belt of Truth- Commitment
Breastplate of Righteousness- Holiness
Boots of the Gospel-Sharing the Gospel
Shield of Faith- Faithfulness
Helmet of Salvation- Saved from Sin
Sword of the Spirit- Word of God

Pray in the Spirit

The important thing to do before going to a war is to pray. Prayer is our source of our Strength in the Lord, and this can ensure us that God is with us when we pray. Prayer is asking God of what we need, and he is faithful to answer our prayers, so pray always with prayer and all supplication.

Psalm 100 - A Psalm of Thanksgiving

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!

Serve the LORD with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!

Know that the LORD, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the LORD is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

LOVE: In A Selfish Manner

One day there was a little girl who was staring at her garden. The garden was full of beautiful flowers and a wide area of green plants. As she was walking, she saw a beautiful pupa colored silver and yellow. She thought that it would be a cute colorful butterfly, so she anticipates for the coming out of the butterfly.

Because she wants to see the last step of metamorphosis, she placed a net that is a bit larger that the pupa so that when it happens she can own the butterfly. Day after day she went to the garden to see if the butterfly came out. Still, a few more days she waited.

Then one day, as she was going to the garden she saw the net was moving. As she went closer, she noticed that it was the butterfly, yet it was bigger than she expected. Suddenly the butterfly stop moving, and it was dead.

After a that, she felt to much pain and regret about the thing she'd done. That if she did not place a net the butterfly can freely fly over the garden and that she can be happy watching the butterfly spread its wings and fly. But because of her selfishness, she felt sad forever.

A Moody Me!!

November 18, 2008

My day was not good as I woke up. Although the day was fair weathered but I really felt something wrong. I want to be alone yet I don't want to. I felt I never been like this before. Maybe there is really something behind this, is there?

Well, the first thing is about my classmates, because they really bullied me and also my boarders. I can't do anything so I just let them do what they want to do. And so, I felt that I am persecuted.

I need someone to COMFORT me!!

What is Man that God is mindful of him?

The Mystery

The universe is a large space where trillions or more stars are scaterred. It is very wide that no man can know how large it is, it is also like the numerical numbers that has no end and also the universe is likewise. In the universe there are many stars that form clusters and these are called galaxies. Galaxies have many forms, example of these are spiral and elliptical. Galaxies like the stars are also numerous. Milky Way is a galaxy which our solar system belongs. The Sun which is one ofe the billion stars in the Milky Way is the center of our solar system. In our solar system there now eight planets which revolves around the Sun. The earth which is the 3rd planet from the Sun is where we live. In Earth many organisms lived, from tiny protozoans to the intelligent humans. The fact is we are the only beings who live in this whole wide universe. But why? Why are we the only one live in this wide world? Is there someone behind this that science can't explain? What is our purpose in this world? Why is the man is the rational being?

The Answer

Yes, there is someone who is behind this mystery. A person who is all knowing, invisible, immortal, powerful, majestic, huge, and everlasting. This person is God himself.

In the book of Genesis, it says that God created the heavens and the earth, and all things was made by him. On the 6th day of His creation, he created man in his own image. He created man to glorify him. So maybe you are asking yourself "Why are we here?". The answer is, it is because of the Creator. In that we should glorify him. Also, remember that he created you, so this is the truth that He is faithful in your life.

The Search for the Truth

THE SEARCH

In my 18 years here in VSU (Visayas State University) I always admire the majestic statue of "Malakas and Maganda". It is one of the university's symbol called "Search for Truth". It was built during the presidential years of Dr. Bernardo. The symbol is located infront of the Administration building of VSU main campus.

If this symbol means searching for truth, did they really found the truth? Or are they still searching for it. In my entire life, I lived in this campus so I learned lots of lessons, principles, laws, truths, and many more. After all learning those lessons, I asked to myself, what if all the things here in earth and outside the earth will end will these things live forever? (hmmmmm...)

In the bible, especially in the book of Matthew is says " heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away". Alas! This is the one I've been searching for . . . the Living Word of God.

THE TRUTH

In the Holy Bible, there was a man named Jesus. He was a son of a virgin named Mary and his father Joseph a carpenter. When he was about 30 years old, he began his ministry. But before he began his ministry he was baptized by John the Baptist, then after that he went to the towns to minister. During his journey, there were 12 disciples who followed him and they were called as the Apostles.

After three years in his ministry, he knew that one of his apostles will betray him. And so, Judas Iscariot was the one who betrayed him. The pharisees and most of the people didn't like him so they decide that he should be crucified and after for a few hours he died. Three days after he was ressurected and was seen by the apostles, his friends, more than 5oo people, and later on Paul the Apostle of the Gentiles.

He suffered and died for our sins and was raised on the third day is really true. The Bible says in John 14:6 that Jesus is the way, the truth and the life and no comes to the Father but through him.

THE DECISION

In John 3:18 it says that "whosoever believeth in the Son of God is not condemned but whosoever did not believe he is condemned already". John 3:16 also support this verse.

If you are concerned of your soul, please decide right now. I will tell you how, first, understand that Jesus Christ died for your sins and was ressurected at the third day, also that he is only the one who can save you from death. Second, agree to yourself that you are a sinner and you cannot save yourself. And third, you must depend only to Jesus Christ that he will save you from your sins and that he will give you eternal life. Pray to Jesus Christ that you are a sinner and you need forgiveness of sins and to have eternal life, and that you will accept him as your Personal Lord and Savior.

And when you do this heartely, the Holy Spirit will dwell in you. So live the life like Christ did and share others about the good news.

5 things that can be affected by early B-G relationship

TIME- Most of the people start their Boy -Girl relationship during the teen life. As teenagers ( or youth), mostly of us are in schools where we study, make friends, and learn some lessons. But hey! As I've said earlier this BG relationship starts during our youth and while we are still youth we are studying. Then how come this relationship can affect our time? Simply, our original study time is minimized, less time for our family and for ourselves, and have more time in dating!

MONEY- In school, teachers are being paid through tuition fees and tuition fees are being paid by students themselves. Money doesn't only involve in tuition but also in handouts, meals, fares and other academic stuff.

Yet, when we enter in such relationship our budget for our academics is now lesser than we ought to have, then we spend some (or maybe more) money for our partner. Most of us now own a cellular phone, and this gadget can't be used without any load, in short when your partner can't send you a message you are responsible to give him/her a load. ( Strike one! Two more to go!). Next, as we all know Valentine's day is a very important day for lovers, Boys give their gifts such as stuff toys, chocolates, dresses, to their girl. (Strike two!) Also, their day can't be complete without a romantic candle light dinner. ( Strike Three! You're out! )

LOVE- This thing is powerful and maybe you would wonder this can affect us. Well, I can explain this simply, our Creator created us and He loves us and He always expects to be loved by us, but when we have our special relationship our love is transferred to our partners and a little to Him and also to our parents.

DECISIONS- In our everyday lives, we always make decisions. When we make decisions for ourselves sometimes there is someone that offend us. Sometimes, the sad thing about this is that when you and your partner face a decision, the boy wants the girl to decide and the girl wants the boy to decide, and it ends up in nothing.

LIFE- This is the critical! When you are involve in such BG relationship, your time, money, love, and decisions are affected. This time, when this four aspects became negative, which I mean If sometime in our life when we feel busy, no money, don't know what to do, thinking of no one loves us then our life becomes miserable.

So, therefore, I conclude that you should be careful to do what is right for you and for the others!!

Keep Burnin'!!

Maybe you are familiar about the Cogon grass, some say this grass can be easily burn, and when it burns it creates a vast span of flames. Do you know what? I had learned a lesson about it, to keep the fire burning.

Christian life is hard. Yes it is hard. Temptations always attack us, and we sometimes give in to that. Being zealous in the service of the Lord is good yet Satan always find a way to destroy us. A cogon grass can let us explain what is our situation today.

Let us put our christian lives in a cogon grass that is burning (zealous) in the service of the Lord. At first, the flames are starting to becoming bigger and bigger. Then, as it is burning the flames are starting to cool down and then eventually the burning ends.

It means as we were serving the Lord zealously, Satan always wants us to cool down, but don't let the devil conquer us, let us always continue burning in serving God. So to my fellow christians, always continue to serve the Lord with gladness!!

Chocolate HIlls

YEHEY!! I stepped on the greatest landscapes in the Philippines. And it was my first time, actually I was stunned to know that there were about 1,500 hills. I was very excited to took some pictures, those brown grassy hills were very beautiful. I wonder how did the Creator created that wide span of beautiful hills. Well, I thank the SMC Bohol staff to tour as to the one of the tourism spots in Bohol. And, we didn't spend so much of our time there because we (SMC Leyte) were catching a bus going to Ubay,Bohol. The funny thing is that I was so very ignorant so I pick a stone from the hill and brought it here in Leyte.

Netcasters Training in BOHOL

Hi, just arrived this afternoon from Bohol. It was a great experience for me, first, it was my first time in Bohol, second, I was trained how to spread the gospel of Christ. I met my old SMCians friends and new friends ofcourse. I spend a week on that training and I had learned a lot. Kuya Mark, who was our speaker, shared a lot of encouraging thoughts from the word of God. Kuya Vhen also thought as how to share the gospel using Netcasters Method.

At first, I found it easy yet hard. (what?). I want to spread the gospel yet I had no confidence to share. Thankfully, I was assigned to ate Disi. She was cute, and very encouraging, although I won't talk to her at first because I was shy. (hehehe) And it came to pass, that it was my time to share, I and Disi walked almost more than a mile yet I havn't saw a soul yet, and we shared some of our experiences in our individual christian lives, and then we decided to go back to our base
(CVSCAFT-MC). Before we reached our base, we met a girl named Lileth, she was 18 yrs. old,
so I didn't waste time and preach to her the gospel, thankfully she accepted Christ her personal Lord and Savior. And did you know what? When a sinner repenteth, the angels in heaven rejoices! and so am I and Disi. PRAISE GOD!!

I thankfully thank the Lord for bringing me on that training, and all the glory and praise I give to Him!
